LemonLavender Bars

(1.) Preheat oven to 350* (2.) Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper (3.) Make the lavender sugar by grinding the lavender buds & sugar together in a food processor (4.) Mix the lavender sugar with the lemon zest, vanilla extract, lemon extract & salt until the mixture looks like wet sand (5.) Cream the sugar together with the butter until well combined (6.) Mix the egg yolk until well combined (7.) Mix in the all-purpose flour & almond flour (8.) Press the lemon lavender cookie dough into the prepared pan. Start at the edges working towards the center make sure the dough is evenly distributed across the pan (9.) Bake at 350* for 25 to 30 minutes (10.) Cool the cookies in the pan for 30 minutes (11.) Make the lemon glaze by whisking the powdered sugar with the lemon juice until smooth & well combined (12.) Spread the lemon glaze over the still warm cookies & then allow the glaze to fully set (13.) Cut them into your preferred shape & size (14.) Enjoy! With Love, Cheryl
