Kara Barbera
Kara found yoga over 15 years ago when a friend invited her to try Bikram Yoga. She thought yoga couldn’t be that difficult so why not? After an intense experience, she promised her friend after class that she’d never go back. However, she couldn’t ignore how great she felt throughout the day. Curiosity brought her back and immediately she was hooked. She discovered that yoga helped her heal and strengthen her body after years of ballet dancing.
After three years of practicing, Kara completed Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Los Angeles in 2011. She’s since taught this healing practice in several locations including Manchester, Concord, Portsmouth, Cambridge, and Boston.
Recently, she started to crave something new and was invited to try Baptiste Power Yoga. During that first class, she decided she will absorb everything possible about this practice and set a goal to teach it. Kara completed her 200hr Teacher Training in January 2021 and immediately started sharing this impactful practice.
Practicing and teaching yoga brings her tremendous joy, balance, peace, and purpose on and off the mat. Yoga reminds her that anything is possible and continues to strengthen her body and mind. She shares her passion of yoga and dance with her two young daughters and is grateful to show them that you can follow your heart and make your passion, your work
