Katie Capatano

Yoga Instructor

After years of flirting with yoga, I began a consistent practice in 2017. Like so many others, I began my practice with the sole purpose of exercise. I soon realized, however, that something really incredible was happening: each time I came to my mat, I could take up as much space as I needed—as much space as I *wanted.* Breathing, sweating, reaching, twisting-I could lean into anything because I had the space to do so. I could grow bigger because I had the space to do so.

It has been such a gift to see that translate in my life, off my mat: taking up space. Unafraid & unapologetically! That has been so healing and such a game changer in my life. When you are in my class, I want you to know that you, too, have the right to take up as much space as you need. On your mat and off.

I received my 200 and 500 hour teacher training from Power Yoga University under the tutelage of Tracy Coviello & Jean Donnelly.

I live in Stratham, NH, with my husband and three boys.
