Katy started yoga in her sisters basement at 16 and has continued to come back to the mat to find strength, flexibility and a sense of self over the years. After 20 years in the restaurant business Katy became a full time Mom. She began homeschooling her two girls in 2020 and discovered the yogic teachings to aid her in her parenting as well as her self, making a dedicated effort to get on the mat daily. She completed her 200 hour training through YogaMu (Tamlyn Cohen) in the spring of 2023 and is currently working on her second 200hr training here at YogaBalance. Katy is enthusiastic about yoga being beneficial for every body, and every mind and finding alignment to aid in longevity in our physical abilities and contentment in mind.
